Year 1 Excursion to Rouse Hill House and farm

Year One set off on their first external excursion, on Friday 24th February, to Rouse Hill House and Farm. Upon arrival students were greeted by one of the educators from the farm, who was dressed in period costume, which set the scene for our day. In our Learning Groups, we participated in the two programs, Early to Rise and Lessons From the Past. The students loved the Early to Rise program, where they got to hang out the washing, feed the chickens and pass the chaff in the horse stable. They learnt about how life looked for families back in 1889. Lessons From the Past was a great contrast for the students and easily relatable, as they got to see and experience what school life was like back in 1889. To prepare the students to step back in time, they dressed the part and marched with their teacher Miss Fox up to the old school house. In and around the old school house they participated in traditional lessons of handwriting, spelling, maths and science, whilst using a slate to record their learning. A new skill they all learnt was how to sew a running stitch, there were a few tangled threads, but they all gave it their best. Things got a little physical after that and the students marched outside to the May Pole, where they danced around it, before doing exercises using wooden dumbbells. The Year One teachers were extremely proud of the way in which the students represented themselves and Trinity on the day.

Catholic Schools' Week 2017

Catholic Schools' Week began with a liturgy led by Fr Peter and our Year One students. Our liturgy reminded us that our learning is all connected and that therefore we are all connected. Parents were then invited to visit classrooms to share in their children’s learning. Thank you to the family members who were able to join in our celebrations.

Ash Wednesday 2017

Our terrific Year Fours led a truly meaningful and thoughtful Ash Wednesday liturgy which challenged us not just to “Give up” something during Lent but to “Give”. What can we as Christians give to those in our families and communities during this time of Lent?

Captivate 2015

"CAPTIVATE WAS AWESOME" Year 3 & 4 were spectacular in their display of their dancing and singing skills at the Captivate Concert on Monday night the 7 September! Their wonderful participation and fabulous performance was a result of many months of practise and learning, of songs and dances! Consistency, commitment and the ability to work cooperatively, produced a performance that was outstanding and enjoyable, to both the audience and to the performers. It was a memorable experience for the children, as it encompassed a new domain of learning and performing with an outcome that brought positive reinforcement and much joy to all who participated! A Big thank you to all the teachers and parents who assisted in the success of this concert! Thanks Maga

Year 5 Mission Activity

It was wonderful to see the Year 5 children organise such a great Book Swap. They worked in teams to plan their space, theme and presentation of books. They also organised the collection of tickets and helped children with their choice of books. Thanks to their teachers, Sharon and Elena, for helping them with this. It is great that we have so many supportive families who encouraged their children to bring their coin, ticket and book for the event. The children will have another book to read and they have provided a book in a child's own language for a child in Nepal.
